In January 2015 I bought my first home. My goal is to pay it off in under 20 years. My preferred goal is 15 years so the house would paid off when I am eligible to retire from my career (at 55) but would be happy with anything under 20 years.

My housemate moved out in early December. After a few small changes to the house I will be looking for a new roommate in 2017.

I also own a small business that I started in 2006. This is a company I would like to run in my retirement (planning for July 2029 at 55).

Lights in hallway changed
Bulbs in hallway changed
New house numbers
Figure out switches in master
Bulbs in bathrooms changed

Measure floors
Flooring selected & half the house is done!
Hardwood in living/dining and office new carpet in renters room.
Select tile for baths and laundry.
Select flooring for master.
Flooring installed
Replace ceiling fans
Replace door to garage
Replace master bath shower thing
Buy tv mounts and Mount tvs
Sell ceramic animals from yard
Move master bath door
Garage cabinets replaced -half done
Remove bathroom border/crown molding

isn't that a great quote to inspire you to save more, spend less and be happy with what you have? Got it from an article in NBC money that i cannot find now!
