In January 2015 I bought my first home. My goal is to pay it off in under 20 years. My preferred goal is 15 years so the house would paid off when I am eligible to retire from my career (at 55) but would be happy with anything under 20 years.

My housemate moved out in early December. After a few small changes to the house I will be looking for a new roommate in 2017.

I also own a small business that I started in 2006. This is a company I would like to run in my retirement (planning for July 2029 at 55).

after the fall...

So here I was ready to begin more regular entries into my blog when I get injured last week (stupid hole in the grass) and have to wait!

At least the weekend was relatively a new spend weekend, except of the dinner we brought in on Sunday. But that turned into 4 meals so it worked out ok. I just didn�t do much with my lag up on pillows and ice surrounding it! I should be back to normal in 8 to 12 weeks. Yee gads! There goes my hiking trip in Yosemite the second weekend in Oct. I am still going I think, just no hiking for me! With my luck I�ll fall off the trail and end up hundreds of feet down.

Things are good other than the foot issue. My room is really messy right now and I need to sort some things out and probably toss etc.

Having 2 days off work was nice but I wish I was doing something else rather tan tapped in my room!

An injury can really mess you up! I got a splinter in my thumb a few weeks ago that seemed to make it impossible to do anything!
