In January 2015 I bought my first home. My goal is to pay it off in under 20 years. My preferred goal is 15 years so the house would paid off when I am eligible to retire from my career (at 55) but would be happy with anything under 20 years.
My housemate moved out in early December. After a few small changes to the house I will be looking for a new roommate in 2017.
I also own a small business that I started in 2006. This is a company I would like to run in my retirement (planning for July 2029 at 55).
Monthly Goals by 2020:
$300 extra to house payment
$200 extra to student loan
$500 to IRA savings
$250 saved house maintenance
2016 Shop income/reimbursements: $445/$1122
rent 2016: $7700

Finish unpacking
Paint inside
Paint outside
Lights in hallway changed
Bulbs in hallway changed
New house numbers
Figure out switches in master
Bulbs in bathrooms changed

Flooring selected & half the house is done!
Hardwood in living/dining and office new carpet in renters room.
